The G1 GoBots are an experimental team of visitors from “another dimension” who will infiltrate their way into your collection! Their colorings were based on unreleased recolors featured in a Japanese catalog, but it seems that their names and characters originate elsewhere… The deep backstory of the GoBots garnered considerable interest from fans overseas, leading to major roles for Bug Bite and the other GoBots in Transformers Collectors’ Club original stories.
Function: Experimental interdimensional exploration team
They were the first group of warriors on Cybertron to use the name “Gobots.” Although they outwardly appear to be average Transformers with conventional alternate modes, they are in fact undercover agents hailing from another galaxy. Their special operations team is banded together from members of two opposing factions working together to save the inhabitants of their homeworld from the Cataclysm. While carrying out secret recon such as intelligence gathering, diplomatic exchange, and space-time alteration experiments, their unique transport methods and cyborg physiology have contributed much to Cybertron, leading to the creation of advanced new generations of transformers such as the Spychangers.
